I have a lifelong passion for swimming and believe the water should be a place where everyone feels safe, confident and able to enjoy themselves. My journey into teaching began at a young age, volunteering to support children as they developed their swimming skills, particularly those who felt nervous or lacked confidence in the water. This experience inspired me to pursue formal qualifications and build a career in health, fitness and wellbeing.

Alongside being a qualified swimming teacher, I have a background in physiotherapy, personal training and evidence-based nutrition. This broader knowledge gives me an understanding of movement, physical development and the importance of building strength, coordination and confidence. I bring this knowledge into my teaching to help children develop their swimming skills in a way that is safe, supportive and appropriate for their individual needs.

I am passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment where enjoyment and progress go hand in hand. I believe swimming is an essential life skill that extends beyond water safety, helping children develop independence, confidence and a sense of achievement. My teaching style combines patience, structure and encouragement, allowing every child to progress at their own pace.

The most rewarding part of teaching is seeing a child's confidence grow, celebrating their achievements and helping them develop skills that will stay with them for life. Above all, I want every child to feel proud of their progress and develop a positive, lasting relationship with the water.
